About Us
The Associated General Contractors of America is the nation's largest and oldest construction trade association and was founded in 1918. AGC represents more than 33,000 firms, including 7,200 of America's leading general contractors and 12,000 specialty-contracting firms. Over 14,000 service providers and suppliers are also associated with AGC through a network of chapters across the country.The Nebraska Chapter, Associated General Contractors of America is a dynamic professional construction organization which is composed of 81 contractor members and 132 service providers and suppliers across the state of Nebraska. These firms are responsible for working with federal, state, country, and municipal governments in the construction, maintenance, and repair of over 100,000 miles of highways in Nebraska. However, they also do a wide variety of associated work for a myriad of other public and private customers throughout Nebraska utilizing a full range of horizontal construction capabilities. Some of these customers include railroads, dairy farms, telephone companies, conservation organizations, foundation work for building contractors, and many others.
