$12.5B Nebraska roadmap: I-80 six lanes west of Lincoln, South Beltway

The director of the Nebraska Department of Transportation on Monday highlighted the state's billions of dollars in highway maintenance and construction needs, Lincoln's South Beltway, the future of autonomous vehicles and the need for fiber optic cable to communicate with Nebraska drivers. USDA Allocates $1.2B for Rural Water Infrastructure Projects

USDA is investing $1.2 billion to help rebuild and improve rural water infrastructure for 936,000 rural Americans living in 46 states.

“Access to water is a key driver for economic opportunity and quality of life in rural communities,” Hazlett said.

USDA is providing financing for 234 water and environmental infrastructure projects through the Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program. The funding can be used for drinking water, stormwater drainage and waste disposal systems for rural communities with 10,000 or fewer residents. Full Article

Gov. Ricketts Praises Federal Grant for US 75 from Murray to Plattsmouth

LINCOLN – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts announced that a segment of US Highway 75 (US 75) has been selected to receive a competitive $20 million federal grant to assist in the funding of the project.  The grant is being awarded through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) program.
