Meet the 2021 AGC Nebraska Chapter President
Ron Hall started in the industry 39 years ago, the very morning after he graduated high school, working at the family business in Minnesota. He worked his way up in the company from laborer, equipment operator, foreman, superintendent, Division Manager to eventually, Vice President. After 25 years with the family business, he sold his interest in 2008 and began working with Knife River North Central as a Project Manager/Estimator. In 2011, he helped Knife River open an office in Minot, ND during the oil boom. In 2012, he had the opportunity to join Knife River Midwest and has been in the Sioux City, IA area ever since.
After making the move, Ron decided to join AGC Nebraska to network with people in the industry around his new location. He has served on various state associations in Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota, but AGC Nebraska stands out because of the way it is run. He believes we have a good cross section of our member firms represented on the board and our committees. Our committees work hard with the NDOT to push for positive change in our industry.
"I realize that the responsibilities each of us have to our companies make it hard to dedicate the time to the organization, but it is imperative that we find the time to stay active and engaged in our industry," said Hall. "AGC Nebraska is the voice of our industry, both at the Capitol and with the NDOT." We have a busy year ahead and Ron is ready to lead our chapter through it.
Ron and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 31 years and have three grown children. He enjoys fishing, golfing and spending time at his lake home.
