A White House spokeswoman said today that President Trump's planned Advisory Council on Infrastructure "will not move forward." President Trump issued an executive order July 19 formally establishing the infrastructure panel which was to be headed up by Richard LeFrak and Steve Roth, developer friends of the President's from New York City with 15 members from real estate, construction, finance, labor and other sectors. Formal appointments to the council had not yet been made. Its mission was to make recommendations for the President's infrastructure initiative including funding, financing, transformative projects, procurement and expediting the delivery of infrastructure. The Administration still intends to move forward with an infrastructure package which is currently being drafted although the timing remains in question. Cancellation of the infrastructure council follows Trump's announcement this week that he was disbanding two other business advisory panels.
